Lidl Newgate Minestrone Cup Soup

Rather watery onion soup with small dried bits of veg and some quickly soggy bread. It's OK - you can get it down, and it's not offensive, but it's not exactly a joy to eat/drink. Date: Nov 2018 Score: 3

Symington's Ainsley Harriot New England Vegetable Chowder Cup Soup

There isn't a huge difference between this and the Bachelors Broccoli & Cauliflower. Both are essentially potato starch. But this has more flavour and more texture with little bits of crunchy veg. If reaching for something warm and comforting I may just go for this instead of the Bachelors. Batchelors CupaSoup Broccoli & Cauliflower

This is a reasonably hearty soup, though it contains rather more potato starch than it does anything else, so the taste is a little floury and does best (for me) with a little salt. I'd be happy enough to have it again as it is comforting and not offensive, but I would like it to have a little more in the way of flavour. Date: July 2018 Score: 5
